SyntaxxStudioo Learning Pvt. Ltd. ("SyntaxxStudioo", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website syntaxxstudioo.com and its associated student, teacher, and admin dashboards (collectively, the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from you, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information you give us

• Account details: full name, email address, phone number, and role (student, teacher, or institution admin) when you register or complete onboarding.
• Profile information: organisation, designation, subjects, exam preparation goals, and profile photo, if you choose to add them.
• Course and payment activity: the courses you enrol in, your progress, assignment submissions, quiz attempts, and — for paid courses — the course, amount, and payment status of your order.
• Communications: messages you send through the contact form, in-platform discussions/messages, or support tickets.

b. Information collected automatically

• Login timestamps, device/browser type, and general usage activity (such as time spent studying and lessons completed), used to power features like progress tracking and study-streak charts.
• Standard web server logs collected by our hosting infrastructure (Firebase Hosting).

c. Information from third parties

When you pay for a course, our payment partner Razorpay shares limited information back with us to confirm your payment succeeded (such as a payment ID and status) — see Section 4. We do not receive or store your card, UPI, or bank account details; those are handled entirely by Razorpay's PCI-DSS-compliant systems.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account, and to let teachers, students, and admins use the Platform's course, live-class, assignment, and messaging features.
• To process course enrolments and payments, and to send related confirmations and receipts.
• To send OTPs and authentication emails needed to sign in securely.
• To notify you about live classes, assignments, and course updates relevant to your enrolments.
• To respond to support requests and messages sent through our contact form.
• To maintain the security of the Platform, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.
• To improve the Platform based on aggregate, de-identified usage patterns.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data to serve third-party advertising.

3. Legal Basis & Cookies

We process your information because it is necessary to provide the Platform's services you've signed up for, to comply with applicable law (including payment and tax record-keeping), and, where applicable, based on your consent. We use essential cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences; we do not use third-party advertising cookies.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on the following service providers to operate the Platform. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore Database, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Hosting) — stores your account data, course content, and application data, and runs our backend logic. Firebase's own privacy and security practices are described at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
• Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd. — processes payments for paid courses. Razorpay is PCI-DSS compliant and handles all card/UPI/netbanking details directly; we only receive a payment confirmation and order status. See Razorpay's privacy policy at razorpay.com/privacy.
• Google Meet / Google Calendar (where used for live classes) — used to host and schedule certain restricted-access live sessions for enrolled students.

We do not permit these providers to use your information for any purpose other than providing services to SyntaxxStudioo.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and course data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations (typically up to 7 years for payment records, in line with Indian tax record-keeping requirements). You may request deletion of your account as described in Section 7, subject to these retention requirements.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), Firebase Authentication, and Firestore security rules that restrict data access to authorised users only — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to continuously improve our safeguards.

7. Your Rights & Choices

You may:

• Access and update most of your profile information directly from your dashboard's Settings/Profile section.
• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to Section 5.
• Withdraw consent for optional communications at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

SyntaxxStudioo offers courses to school-age learners preparing for board and competitive exams. Where a user is under 18, we require that a parent or legal guardian reviews this Privacy Policy and consents to account creation and course enrolment (including any payment) on the minor's behalf. Institutional/school-registered accounts are expected to be provisioned with appropriate parental or institutional consent already in place.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and material changes will be communicated through the Platform.
